I just listened to one by Lester Holt. He also said that there were still not enough effective treatments being made available 6 months into the epidemic. He then followed up by assuring everyone that there was still no need to panic.
100 dead in a week.
300,000 hospitalized.
Over 12,000 dead.

i mean during h1n1, schools did not close indefinitely. life was not put on hold. the stock market dod not plummet. it was deadly, but society went on.
