Well, it looks like it is down to Maine, West VA, and Idaho for the continental US. Which will be the last state to officially report a case?
Alaska is still hanging on, but they don't count.

The testing is a huge ducking goat rope, despite what the idiot says there are still very few actual test kits available so I think they are making as difficult as possible. It’s like a 6 step process here, and unless you are barfing up a lung and just got back from China forget about it.

I can’t even get my daughter a regular flu test right now. All the urgent cares are banning people with flu symptoms or something. It’s surreal.

We couldn’t be fricking this up more if we tried

Someone in the big thread posted about home flu tests. He gave a link to walmart.
Not that you'd stand a great chance of being able to actually find one, though.

There is absolutely no point to getting tested unless you are severely ill.

That's wrong. That's the sure fire way to get people spreading it around. Most people will just assume they have a normal cold and go about their day interacting with anybody and everybody, unknowingly exposing countless people. And you can't just tell your boss "I've got a cough, they didn't say it was coronovirus but I'm gonna stay home for the next two weeks anyway." Your average employer is going to want positive verification and you're not getting that without a test so your average person is going to work with or without the coronovirus.

My company’s third party HR firm’s policy is if you have a fever & cough you cannot return until you get a negative test.

My company's policy is you'll receive two weeks of short term disability IF you have positive verification. And without a test from the state of Alabama, which they are strictly rationing, you can't get a negative to satisfy your company's policy.

Do people do this? Just go around spreading shite to people when they KNOW they have something? People just don't give a shite about others?

That's the problem, until you're tested you don't know anything.

And when your state health department controls all the tests, they don't let you get tested unless you're so ill you physically can't walk around and all you've currently got is a cough or a sore throat, then yeah, lots of people are gonna just keep going about their regular daily shite. That's why it's been spreading so easy; people don't know they're sick until it's too late to keep from exposing other people.
