I think the year LSU beat Notre Dame in Tiger Stadium 28 to 8 a Notre Dame player on defense made a good play against Tyler Lafauci and said to Tyler, "How about that". Tyler Lafauci than turned and pointed to the scoreboard and said to the Notre Dame player, "How about that". 28 to 8.

That is why they were hungry.

I think Daniels said, "I play for the name on the side of my helmet not for the name on the back of my jersey". Same difference, though. GREAT QUOTE! I've used it with kids.

Do you know Tyler Lafauci? His little brother and I played football in Metarie/Kenner at Westgate.

Since you brought up a fan, a friend of mine told me what an older LSU woman said at one of the games during the Hallman years -

"This is the worst LSU football team I've ever seen. If I didn't love livin' so much, I'd just shoot myself."

Back in late 70's, I heard a frustrated and pissed off George Atiyah (badass nose guard) scream at his tutor in the library, " I didn't come here to go to school, I came here to play football!!!" Not very famous, but it sure made an impression on me (and cured me from doing any tutoring of athletes!)

This is someone's signature here on the rant. Not sure if it's a real quote or not. But if it is, then it's my favorite.

"If you let me get behind you, it's done. Once I get past you, you can just stop and go to the sideline and talk to coaches about what happened." -Demetrius Byrd

When a judge asked Cecil Collins why he snuck into that woman's room to watch her sleep he apparently responded with, "Your honor I had that liqour on da' brain"

Not inspirational but still one of the funniest quotes I have ever heard.

Reporter to Shaq before the the Olympics in Athens, Greece.

Reporter,"Have you been to the Parthenon yet?"
Shaq: "I can't remember all of the names of the clubs we've been to."
