Imagine losing to a winless SWAC Team

#8 Mississippi St loses at home to winless Texas Southern 8-4.
Imagine the meltdown on this board and the thread subjects.

It's not losing midweeks that's a problem. It's the frequency at which it occurs. Acting like there is no cause for concern because of it is just blind loyalty to the corch.

Nichols started 1-5 with their one win coming vs. LSU. Their losses were to Southern Illinois-Edwardsville twice, George Washingston & Ark. Little Rock. Texas Southern started 0-9 with losses to NM St. 4x, Oklahoma twice and Wichita St. 3 times. much difference between the two. Maybe Southern Illinois-Edwardsville is a national power now, but it seems like Nichols and Texas Southern are pretty similar.

Has Miss St won 6 national championships? They are not on the same level as LSU. Stop making excuses for PM. LSU should be the premier baseball program in the country. Not just a top 20 program. Set your expectations a little higher dude. I guess we have been so mediocre for so long now that these younger kids don't remember how great LSU baseball used to be. We can and should have the best coach in the nation. We do not.

This is forgivable, but MSU should be disappointed, frustrated and pissed. Losing to a woefully inferior opponent isn't something to be shrugged off.

If LSU is recruiting correctly they should have better arms sitting than most mid week teams. No excuse to lose those games. Those games are there to get more ABs for the batters and more innings for the pitching staff.
LSU's bullpen should be better than the #1 that the midweek team throws!
