I also think the people in the area have the right to establish what laws in their community they so wish.

I don’t believe that people should have the right to impose their religion-based morality on others in their community who may not share that same belief, no matter what the majority opinion is.

Central you can’t until 12 on sundays

Go to that Walmart at 10am on a Sunday and there will be carts loaded with beer people tried to buy.

Unless they changed it very recently

In my town no booze carry outs after 9pm and beer is midnight.

Bars are open til 2am and 230am on Fri/Sat.

Can't grab some to drink at home but can get shitcanned at the saloon.

When i moved to Georgia, the weirdest blue law that I found was that no company can own more than two liquor stores in the whole state. There are only two Sams and two Costcos that have an attached liquor store anywhere in the state.

Seriously, is this all you find to bitch about? Then life ain't too bad, is it?

You suck at reading comprehension. I wasn’t complaining because I had to wait 5 minutes to get my booze. I was complaining because the law states I have to wait until 12:30 just because it is a certain day of a week.

The MADD branch here in Kentucky. One of the parents of the crash became their national president as a result.

Not sure if they changed with the rest of EBRP several years ago. I'm from Central but haven't lived out there in about 13 years or so.

Maybe so. Seems kind of dumb because you can drive right down the road and buy it if you want to. Hell, cross the Amite on Wax road and hit the truck stop.

Given it’s the city that sold T Shirts that stated “Central Born, Central Bred and when you die you’ll be central dead” at the schools, nothing should surprise you

I haven't seen those. Central is a pretty conservative little community. I lived there from 1978-1998 or so and briefly for a year in 2006 when I first got married.

So we moved to Dallas and I went to a Spec's for alcohol and they can't sell anything but beer and wine at the Preston Hollow location because it is considered dry. Craziest thing ever!

Sorry, but majority opinion rules if you believe in democracy. What else do you suggest? A dictatorship? Or perhaps the tyranny of the minority?
