As noted above.

This will now go from a 5-10 minute inconvenience to a hour+ long delay.

Smart move Greyhound.

There's ample justification for this in the Constitution and the jurisprudence.

Has to be inconvenient to have your bus pulled over so the feds can walk around asking every passenger 'May I see your papers?"

Take an honest look at the Nations that these Illegal immigrants come from, BT...and then estimate the effects of virtual UNRESTRICTED immigration into this Nation. If you don't think our Freedoms are going away, in order to secure civil society to the degree possible...then my arguments are worthless.

Do you believe Mexico's Government is more powerful than the Cartels? Or that their Government (the people/bureaucracy therein) is not bought...or worse, them and their family threated with unspeakable personal harm?

Bottom line. Book it, to the degree that we suspend Constitutional Law for the sake of Illegal immigration...to that degree the future of our own System will necessarily be AUTHORITARIAN.

That said, if I lived down there with my current Great Granddaughter...I'd get the hell across the Border no matter what. That is why the WALL, and QUALIFIERS for those we allow in, is the only solution.

To the degree that GH becomes an enabler of Cartels, Human Traffickers and even poor immigrants who come at the bequest of the Dem Party (Authoritarian Socialist) in order to vote their economic interest out of the pockets of Americans who have EARNED their savings, healthcare and FREEDOM.

Thank God for the rogue Trump. Build the Wall, shut down the drug traffic, pass Immigration Reform with QUALIFIERS for Citizenship and honest immigration...and welcome in the good folk who come to JOIN in the fight for our Constitutional Principle/Individual Freedom Republic...instead of "fundamentally change" it. Otherwise, they come into a Nation where freedom-loving patriots are armed to the teeth, and pissed off at the Commi...err, 'Socialist' who plan to vote out our GOD-GIVEN RIGHTS. The fight over that will make immigrants wish they were back in their poor, but relatively peaceful place.

We’ll see how awesome it is when bp detains a bus for 6 hours waiting for a warrant.

I guarantee you this is exactly what will happen.

#Woke AF

So, when the BP has to detain a shite ton of buses while waiting for warrants, Greyhound will bitch and blame them for the schedule SNAFUs, I suppose?

I can't believe you believe lawyers must turn a blind eye away from all illegal activity.

Your reading this all wrong.
If GH is knowingly transporting large numbers of illegals around and cross borders(see also drugs and human slave traffic) and refuse to cooperate many would not mind using every legal way however close to the edge it is to stop it.

Legal way? Customs and border patrol's leaked memo clearly revealed it was not entirely legal. So let's start there and try this again.

amazing how many people in the US would vote to live in a police state. Only because they believe it is for "other" people

Yet, you voted for Hillary and will vote for the Dem nominee even if it's the soda overlord, Bloomberg.

So your contention is the bus is filled with nothing but illegals, and no us citizens? Seems statistically unlikely.

Taking this at face value.

Then we make it "totally legal".

Better?

Every single Greyhound bus that comes through a border patrol checkpoint should be searched for a minimum of 4 hours.

They wanna get cute, get cute back.

Century-old SCOTUS precedent says that you are mistaken. e.g. US v. Wong Kim Ar (1898).

Now that there’s a wall, there’s no need for BP to worry about what’s on buses. The wall secured the border because walls work, and that’s that.

You sound frustrated.

Absolutely correct. You need probable cause.

DOT doesnt require probable cause, being on the highway is probable cause

Correct.
Police can stop and inspect any car driving down a "drug corridor".

Was not speaking of their right to pull over any commercial vehicle on a US highway or State road but their right to ask for ID of passengers in said commercial vehicle.

Can you provide any citation in support of this proposition?
