If this keeps up, I see a scenario where Woodard pulls the string on CPM by the end of March, Alan Dunn takes over as interim coach and the search begins in earnest for a new head coach.

Nah. CPM won't get fired during the season. His seat is warming, though.

he will let it go until such time as the season stops being affected and before recruiting suffers... whatever period that is.

Happening? It already happened and started immediately after 09 title. Damn near the exact thing. Even a failed title game to an SEC rival.

Why would you capitalize “THE”

It wasn't that long ago posters on this board would want to fight you for saying Tim Corbin is a better baseball coach than Paul Mainieri.

Paul has never been a good in-game coach but he usually got things in order in between games. We'll have to see if he's learning anything during this lull in production and if he's able to right the ship.

Correct, like Les in 07 that 09 team had already been built. Hell, go back and look at who was on that 09 squad. I think I could have coached them, hell they could have coached themselves.

LSU will never see another CWS title under PM. He and Les are two sides of the same coin and I would cut my losses sooner rather than later

Leon Landry
Mikie Mahtook
DJ Lemaheiu
Anthony Ranaudo
Matty Ott
Micah Gibbs
Austin Nola
Chad Jones*

we’re all Sophomores or younger

Paul was hungry then. Hasn't been hungry since. He also came to LSU with two good assistants. Ever since then it's been the friends and family plan.

'cause my CAPS got locked and did not notice...
then too lazy to change.

BTW, Although Paul did not rise thru the ranks he is the perfect example of Peter's Principle.

he rose to one NC and could not get to the next level...sustaining the success.

And we’re getting the same excuses from his knights. “Who you want to hire instead” nonsense just like the people who defended Miles to the end.

Another loaded squad that he handcuffed with terrible lineup structure.

The program has gone down hill since Slaughter’s interference at second base in the CWS Finals.
