Should Stone be pardoned now or later?

I’ve heard a few people argue that Trump should wait until after the election because it’s not worth the risk politically.
No one has made this point yet but one could counter that with arguing that he could lose support because it could be perceived as not fighting back against a two tiered justice system.
Personally, Trump has my vote either way.

As long as Stone has options to appeal, he should wait. There's a reason he has been packing the Appellate courts for 3 years now.
It should be a simple "reverse and remand" decision from the Appellate court if nothing more based off the corrupt juror alone.

my heart says pardon him an hour ago. My big beautiful brain says wait

He should do it the day after the election, and then tweet out that elections have consequences LOL

Waiting is the prudent answer. Allow the appeal process to work itself out.

Throw down the fricking gauntlet. Then punch the smug Washington Deep State establishment in the face. Pardon him now!!

The day after the election.
Including Manafort and anybody else the corrupt government went after.
Stone can appeal and end up not spending anytime in jail.

Pardon Roger Stone now.

The people who are opposed to the pardon hate Trump anyway and it won't make a bit of difference when it happens.

That is what is going to happen if Trump lets Stone rot in jail.
Especially when he just commuted Rod fricking Blagojevich.

No need to wait too long, because both the media and the Dem candidate will hound him about it, anyway. They'll just grandstand at the debates and ask Trump to sign a pledge that he won't pardon Stone.

Even if Roger Stone wins his motion for a new trial, he'll still be dealing with Judge Jackson and the same, super-biased DC jury pool and the outcome will be largely the same.
The Roger Stone legal drama is a sad whimpering critically injured animal that has no hope for recovery and it needs to be put down so we can move on.
The correct solution here is a pardon, it always has been and will always be.

He needs to give Barr some breathing room. The Judge gave Stone the new recommendations that Barr's new team asked for and to Pardon Stone now would go against Barr.
Let the process play out and see if we get a new trail. If A new trial is ordered Barr could then choose to drop the case and move on.

Pardoned for what?

There's nothing wrong with that.

Agreed. Trump should say that he will wait out and let the rogue, Obama Judge be overturned, as the EVIDENCE therein will damn her BIASED oversight re real Justice. He can use that narrative to further expose and exploit Dem corruption - especially in DC - and the need for Barr/Durham to offer Indictments OUTSIDE of DC. Such will also shore up Conservative outrage, and turnout at the polls.
He should let Stone know that it is better for him to be legally acquitted - as opposed to a POTUS Pardon - for Stone's reputation...and as there might be civil recourse for such. Like suing the Jury Foreperson.
No hurry. Stone's reputation and public market persona is on the line.

That is not going to happen if he doesn't take control of the DC US Attorney's office which still has a lot of Mueller's prosecutors running wild there and have it out for Stone.
Hell, I doubt that Barr agrees with a pardon for Stone anyway.
The only correct answer to this mess is is a Pardon for Roger Stone.
All of you afraid of pardoning Stone need to stop being a little chickenshit about it. The people opposed to it hate Trump anyway. Let them howl about it anyway.

Does the Gag Order on Stone now go away, after he's been sentenced and or on Appeal?

An acquittal is absolutely not going to happen for Stone. Especially not in a DC courtroom, and especially Jackson's courtroom where he would get a new trial.
Get that through your thick skulls.
A pardon is the only answer here.
