Todd Haley, who served as the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs from 2009 through 2011, has been hired as the offensive coordinator for Riverview High School in Sarasota, Florida.

The 52-year-old Haley last served as the offensive coordinator in 2018 for the Cleveland Browns. But he, along with head coach Hue Jackson, was fired after a Week 8 loss to his former team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Haley, who has a home in the area and whose daughter attends Out-of-Door Academy, was introduced to Rams head coach Josh Smithers through former Ram TJ Nutter.

“We were talking and he brought him up and I asked him, ‘You think he’d watch some film?’ ” Smithers said. “So he came over to Riverview late in the season and we watched some film.

So, he doesn’t need anymore money and gets to do what he loves while spending more time with his daughter? I hope one day I’m in the same position.

I assume he's a multi millionaire like most coaches, why not doing something fun instead of stressful.

Plenty of dad's with nice boats in that area. He can fish every AM. Get to campus around noon. Watch a little film. Coach 2 hours of practice. Go drink rum at a beach bar.

Rinse & repeat.

Where do I sign up?

NFL coaches spend dam near more time with their respective team than with their own families for 8-9 months out of the year. They practically live at the facilities. How many stories have we heard of coaching spending entire days an nights and sleeping in their office? Dude was probably burned out and here he gets to spend time with his daughter and still be a part of the game he loves.

He's made millions and wants to drink cold beer and eat like shite. Good on him. He's a really good play caller. Lets not act like he is a bum.
