82 games vs 10
Something 5 months in vs Brand new and shiny.
Shame on you for posting this garbage from Frank, i already gave him shite for it. Local media are such shills for baseball team, that they do this shite all the time to try and bait fans of the other teams to argue and fight.

San Antonio should be on the short list for the next round of expansion. They've shown they can support professional football well when given the opportunity.

Right, I'm surprised they didn't get one.

Then it’s funny how no one ever said that when the Rams were a playoff team for several years in a row.

Did they add the Fox Midwest crowd to that 3.1?
Football on Fox Hockey on NBCSN. So not really surprised
on top of that you get 82 games per team in NHL and just 10 per team in XFL.
comparing ratings is silly.

Might be a good idea to do a poll in those areas. Eight teams is not good need to have 16 teams to really get it going.
The talent level is barely there to support 8 teams much less 16

Exactly. The dome was the envy of the league when it opened. (Intentional) losing makes everything look unsavory.

No, it wasn’t. I was at the ‘99 NFCCG against the Bucs. On the inside, the dome looked like a Sam’s Warehouse.

When I meant league, I meant the owners.

100%
If you were there during the week, you wouldn't even know a football team played there. NO color, all gray and white.
It was a horrible place for football, because it was a multi use place, so they didn't Rams it out, it stayed neutral, except on game days.
I always felt like it was going to the auto show, since it was in that area, and it was still gray and white.

Except, if i walk into Busch stadium and Enterprise Center, i know who plays there, w/o knowing anything about the place or teams.
You walked into the Dome during Summer, and you wouldn't know who plays there, or if it's just a dome for Conventions.

TV ratings from this year aren't going to be the decider in the XFL living or dying. The AAF had double the ratings than they promised their TV providers but didn't finish the season b/c Dundun pulled out. The original XFL's ratings were good enough as well. The issue will be if Vince can sustain through the financial losses incurred from being a startup until it can become profitable.
This is partly why why self funded this go around. Last time he the XFL was co-owned by the WWE and NBC. When NBC dropped out (partly b/c the XFL had pissed of Lorne Michaels for going long and running into SNL but mostly b/c NBC had just landed the Winter Olympics and didn't have Saturdays free in the coming year) he still could have gone up but his TV partners at UPN wanted to drop an hour of WWF as part of the deal. WWF had recently gone public so with investors already pissed about the initial losses incurred from the first XFL season the thought of losing an hour of their main product from airing on TV was too much for them which effectively forced Vince to end the league.
As for the, AAF picked the wrong financial backers who either had their assets frozen for committing fraud or b/c Dundun was too stupid to understand they weren't going to be making a ton of money in the first few years plus he thought he was getting control of their app tech.
This time Vince has formed a separate company from WWE called Alpha Entertainment and has supposedly put aside enough money to fund the XFL for it's first 3 years. As long as he doesn't go broke b/c of other circumstances the XFL should last a minimum of 3 years before needing to worry about what kind of money it can get from the TV networks.

Correct, and Vince had planned on this for 3 years. AAF I think tried to remain even.

Nobody's going to bring up the fact that XFL ratings dipped in week 2? Plus it's ratings are a lot worse than in 2001. This league is doomed.
