To all the Hal Hughes bashers

I want to personally thank you for your contributions to this forum. If it weren't for you guys the rest of us LSU baseball fans would have no idea what kind of player he is.
I appreciate that you guys repeat over, over, over and over again how bad a player he is. I really had no idea until I read it a thousand times.
I really hope that somehow you guys regurgitating this to complete nauseam will finally make Paul realize he needs to get a better SS. I mean we had Cairo and Arnold but those guys don't count.
Maybe as LSU fans if you guys can continue to bash one of our own players that proudly wears a LSU uniform, maybe he will try harder.
I would have thought that repeating the same thing over and over again that is actually informing us of nothing we don't know already would get tiresome. But you guys have no quit even if your not actually providing an original thought and contributing anything to the forum, you guys are no quitters.
Seriously guys can you just stop. We get it, everyone gets it.
If we can figure out a better starting line up then great. If we can't, then we can't. I'm actually encouraged that he made contact every at bat, it's not like he is swinging at air.
If you just want to raise your hand up to let us know you think he sucks please note that we don't care. Okay, good, you joined the hater club, so what?

Upvote from me and post of the year so far. You will not get an intelligent response. Only more miserable bastards spewing negativity but it was well said. The negativity on this board is sadly running off all of the decent posters. I know chicken has been trying to address it but the player bashing needs to stop.

Hal Hughes is not very good. But to twist Skip’s quote a little, It is not Hal’s fault that he is not very good, it is CPM’s fault for not getting a better shortstop on campus.
As the OP says, it does no good to keep bashing Hughes, when he is doing the best he can. He should just not be a starter at LSU and that is on CPM.

While I haven’t posted negativity in Hal’s direction, I do realize that the hundreds of posts calling him terrible would end if he was not in the lineup.
He is terrible at the plate and while defense may be his calling card, I’d argue that he is worse at it than Josh Smith, Kramer Robertson, Alex Bregman, and Austin Nola (aka all his predecessors), and those guys could hit too.

How is LSU not able to recruit a shortstop to replace Hughes? It honestly makes no sense. Everyone said that Hughes was atleast good in the field as well. This weekend he had two errors that I witnessed. He may have had more. I only caught small portions of each game.

The guy who may go down as the worst LSU hitter of all time is your starting SS at LSU. There is no way we can’t plug someone in at SS that has a much better bat. He’s probably a great kid but man he is just awful at the plate.
