Hell's no! The assassination industry ain't what people might expect it to be.
Hit-men are bullshite artists who prey on 2 types of suckers:
* fools dumb enough to hire them
* knaves dumb enough buy their contracts agreeing to take on the operation for half of what the previous con-artist made.

If the police investigation went cold, or I felt as if the police weren't really doing all they could to find the killer.
Then yes, I would happily kill the fricker myself or even have somebody else do it for me. I know that type of thing is frowned upon in society. But I dont care. The thought of my childs killer being free living his life would drive me to insanity.

Nah if I wanted them dead I would just do it myself. I hope I would be able to forgive or whatever but I'm pretty sure I would try to get my revenge

A college friend of my wifes was brutally raped and beaten while in college. The guy got caught and never saw trial. He was found on the floor of the jail with his throat slashed. They never proved who did it but there was little doubt it was paid work. I don't know that I wouldn't have done the same were it my daughter.

This. I'd want to make sure the POS scum knew it was me. The trick is to make sure it can't be traced back to you. Maybe wait for several years before you do it, then make it look like a random killing or an accident of some kind.
