Going to Charleston this weekend. I have been a bunch of times and have found a few restaurants I really like. But, I tend to visit only these few whenever I go. Suggestions for somewhere new to try?

Charleston is a great restaurant town. It reminds me of a calm and clean New Orleans , at least the Garden District , where everything is within walking distance. FIG, SNOB, and the Peninsula Grill are three of my favorites.

Ate at both of these in October. Both excellent. It was happy hour when we were at Darling which was nice.

Absolutely a great restaurant town. I always have a hard time deciding where to eat when I am there. I think that is why I always go with my tried and true favorites. I am certainly wanting to try SNOB. I have had it on a bucket list for a while now.

Can't recommend FIG highly enough. Nice atmosphere, great food and cocktails. Maybe a little late for reservations (It's tiny) but first come first serve worked well for us. The front community table was fun.

We ate at FIG, Husk, and Stella and I'd be hard pressed not go back to all three on a return trip. I feel like Stella may be the least popular of the three but it was my favorite. That said, we really enjoyed all three.

If you make it out to the beach (Sullivans side), eat lunch at Home Team and dinner at Obstinate Daughter. For downtown, the recs so far are on point (FIG, SNOB, Husk, E Oast). I also like Hanks but it is a tourist trap right on the market. Still solid for what it is, but wont light your pants on fire.

They sell these at Fresh Market if you are looking to enjoy at home. Expensive for biscuits though.

McCrady's
The Ordinary (great seafood spot opened by the owners of FIG)
FIG
Husk (although not as good as when Sean was there)
Hall's Chophouse
High Cotton (also not quite as good as it used to be, but still up there)

I read this in a lot of recent reviews. We also have a friend that lives there that said the same thing. He said FIG was amazing too.

We go at the end of the month. Only thing planned so far is lunch at 167 Raw and dinner at Peninsula Grill.

Husk is definitely worth a visit. I would skip out on 167 Raw. It's tiny and you could end up waiting hours to get in. I liked Pearlz Oyster Bar much better.

We've done both. Highly recommend.

We did Husk several years ago and it was excellent then. Friends went last summer and had a great lunch.
