Not sure I would call it bipartisan. No one wants to cut aid when it comes down to it. This is one of those things said on the campaign trail and dies on the campaign trail.

It's got bipartisan support in paper.

Is it really support when no one is willing to make it happen?

It’s roughly 20%.
I stand corrected.

$11.7 billion, that should eliminate the $1 trillion deficit we're running.

Also because most of the people we give aid to we want something in return from....so it's not like we're just going to cut charitable giving.

That’s less than a fricking rounding error

Well the 2019 budget for foreign aide was $39.2 billion...so Trump’s proposed cut is practically a 1/3 reduction...

MIC won’t like this. The taxpayer money we send foreign countries gets turned around and used to buy arms from American defense contractors. The MIC owns both sides of the aisle and in dozens of states. Cutting this slush fund won’t be easy

That's not a helluva lot, but it's a decent start.

Cough, cough, 11 billion dollars is not a lot of money?

That is a ton of tax payer cash right there and we sure could use it on some minor infrastructure improvements.

I like it, cut a bit here, cut a bit there and either use it on American interest or better yet, cut our taxes some more.

How about we cut 90% of foreign aid and then use half that on our own infrastructure

So, we shouldn't cut it?

Cutting foreign aid is pretty popular and bipartisan.

Wait and see. This will get hammered by the left.

A Presidential budget is merely symbolic, so in the words of Winston Wolfe, “Let’s not start sucking each other’s dicks quite yet.”
