Help! Looking for Spot for Family Getaway!

Any hidden sweet spots to check out.
I'm looking to take the family on a long weekend getaway and need some ideas.
Trying to stay within 2-3 hours of baton rouge.
Would be great finding something ducked off that the kids can have a blast and we can have privacy.
Cabin, camp, whateva that's cool!

Check out Louisiana WL&F web page. The state has a lot of cabins they rent out in different state parks.

We just got back from Lake Fausse Point State Park.
We rented a cabin and we were the only ones. There were a few RV’s.
They have some great nature trails and canoeing. We brought our bass boat and just plodded around the canals. Wind was high, water muddy...but again we saw very few other boats.
There is a playground and a splashpad for kiddos, but the splashpad wasn’t splashing. We had no kids so we didn’t ask why. I assume weather related.
It is very quiet and remote. Cabins were clean and sit on the water.
You are a good 20 miles from any type of town (eating, grocery, etc....).
We loved it, but kids may get bored.

There are some cool Airbnb cabins in homochitto national forest near gloster MS. A few are situated on spring fed creeks.

Wolf Bay condos in Foley Alabama
Near Orange Beach so almost 4 hours from BR. 10-15 minutes to all OB has to offer but secluded and rustic. Can fish, crab, bring your boat...there are also some nice golf courses nearby.

Kids? Look up paradise ranch, tylertown,ms. They have a facebook and website. Thats probably 1.5 hrs from you. Awesome for kids (and adults). Have either red stag or elk (cant remember) roaming around the camp sites. Crystal blue lagoon, good fishing, all kinds of neat stuff.
