You ever read the Facebook Marketplace just to read people’s spelling?

I’m no grammar nazi (not the greatest speller, TBH), but I at least know when a word is misspelt.
I like browsing the marketplace, looking for posts just like this. Sometimes I’ll comment.
Once I saw a lady selling yard eggs. They were $3 a dozen or $5 for 18 eggs. I commented asking why it cost more if I buy more. They got mad, said the price is the price.

I found this gem today

I delete my FB account because I was slowly getting dumber from the posts cluttering my feed... simple spelling and grammar errors, bullshite “insights”, and bullshite “opinions” that the sender thought were “life altering”

Or maybe my friendbase is full of morons... again, maybe why I deleted that shite.

The biggest takeaway from Facebook to me is just how many people go through life not having the ability to pass a 4th grade spelling test

The photo I posted in the OP is probably the worst I’ve seen so. If it wasn’t for the pictures (taken with a potato camera), I would have no idea what a “Preacher Wosher” was.

I'm not saying he's not stupid (see my previous post), but he's right about the egg example.

$3 for 12 eggs is $0.25 per egg

$5 for 18 eggs is ~$0.28 per egg

When I googled misspelt:

The past tense of misspell is misspelled in American English. However, in other varieties of English, misspelt is also acceptable.

I have pronounced and spelled it misspelt my entire life. It’s not incorrect.
