I mean, does Mickey tell him, hey you are sharing the ball with Taysom, and that doesn't deserve starting cash? We already know Mickey hates Drew's agent and vice versa. Could get ugly.

You pay Drew as the starter and play Taysom on the one year tender. If you transition to Taysom next year, you can always tag him.

ok i'll play, if we do this what if:
taysom signs $30 mil contract as starting QB
brees signs $15 mil contract as backup QB
pick up 3rd string QB in FA or 6-7th round pick
brees and taysom alternate series in 2 QB system and taysom comes in for 3rd and long or 4th down plays
