Lol.
Not sure what’s so funny. Watching someone implement a scheme, and then having to actually implement it yourself are two totally different animals.
If it were so easy, there would be a lot more elite offensive coaches.

Right and it's not like you don't update the scheme.

So can we put you and Coach7 on record saying LSU will go to a different offensive scheme next year and/or Coach E will not call most of the plays?

"Brady, I'm gonna have this book, one way or the other..."

Passing scheme will depend on who they hire. It won’t be exactly the same, at least some of the time.

No one ever said this. He was comfortable enough to do it when Brady was there.

You just agreed with a posting saying this.

Well that’s quite the jump in logic. If they didn’t try to repeat what they did last year that would be asinine. My argument is that replicating Brady’s scheme may not be so easy without Brady. I’m sure they’ll try though.

The scheme needs to be revised to fit Brennan's skill set. That's where this entire idea that we'll just tell him to do with Burrow did fails. He can't do what Burrow can do.

What would be asinine is trying to recreate the same exact offense with a brand new cast of characters and crew. I’d much rather see them adapt to new personnel instead of hoping that whatever worked last year will work again.
I’m sure they’re going to come together as a staff and build an offense that suits the team just like every top offense in the country does. The important part is keeping the same terminology, communication and philosophy

I mean it should change a little. You should build it around the players you have, and Brennan is not Joe Burrow.
tbh he comes pretty favorably to Jared Goff, so this would be interesting.
As for E, he's a figurehead. Tiger fans will just have to eventually realize that

Both the Saints and Rams offenses are based on West Coast principles. Same terminology same route trees. Both Payton and McVay added their own wrinkles to it but same principles.

Agreed.

And that’s all I was saying. Payton has added a great vertical passing game and the great empty stuff, etc.
McVay does a great job with the play action passing game.
Let’s trace each Coach.
Brady= Payton= Jon Gruden
Waldron= McVay= Jay/Jon Gruden
So, they started at the same place, as many do, but added and adapted and chose to focus on different parts of the massive WCO.

Payton is under the Jim Fassel tree instead of Gruden. But they all derived from Bill Walsh. So it’s all the same thing

I’m sure he will add some ideas and some different plays, but if you think LSU is going to change schemes after the success they just had. you’re a fool.
I am convinced that there are people on this board that think LSU is going back to the 2018 offense just because Brady left.

I think people think of the "offensive scheme" as some sort of exact recipe, but as you are suggesting, it is more like a framework you use to build the specifics for your exact personnel at any specific time and addressing the team you are going against. If it's anything other than that it is doomed to fail eventually and probably within a season or two after the initial success.

I think that is a little overblown. I think he is more like a manager. I think of it like a choir director, he's directing multiple voices to create something better than the individuals would otherwise. I could be wrong, but he has been around the block a time or two.
But even if he is a figurehead, I'm OK with that so long as he isn't causing us to lose anyone who should otherwise have that job (no, that's not what happened with Brady, before any retards chime in).

He will be appreciated one day. Best damn figurehead in the country if you ask me. I guess all the offensive "geniuses" around the country hire analysts just for shits and giggles since they know everything already. Here we hire them because E knows nothing. Only LSU fans can rationalize this kind of logic
