It’s most likely because they still get their news and marching orders from the CCP and CCTV/WeChat. CCP tells them what to do and they obey, nevermind if it applies to them or not.

Every meal I’ve eaten in China the food kept coming. Sure they were being hospitable, but it was way more food than necessary.

Most Asians when they have a cold wear a mask. You’ll also see when it’s windy, as Asians are not fans of the wind.
