I still can't believe we won an undefeated NC.

I can't believe we went undefeated for the first time in half a century.

I can't believe our quarterback won the Heisman.

I can't believe we dominated and humiliated so many highly ranked teams.

I can't believe I was fortunate enough to witness the victories over Oklahoma and Clemson.

I can't believe 2019 LSU is arguably the greatest college football team of all time.

I can't believe it.

But it is true. Every word.

It wasn't USC or Alabama or Notre Dame or Florida State or any other power of old. It was my alma mater, LSU. How wonderful.

I just watched the SEC Inside documentary on the national championship game and almost wept. I don't think I'll ever fully appreciate this magical season. Nothing will ever surpass it.

It was a legendary season. I believe LSU 2019 shook up the college football world. Lots of folks will try to copy what we did.

I think it's dawning on me a little bit more as time passes. There was so much excitement, but almost no real adversity that it just kinda ended and there was never really any question the last few weeks what was gonna happen so there never was really a climax, it was just what was supposed to happen.

I hope that's understandable, kinda hard to put into words.

The entire thing, everything you mentioned and even more...we essentially swept the major awards. The CFB playoffs weren’t even close, we were clearly superior to all of them. And everyone else, just on a different level this year.

The whole season is just so surreal, I’m still in awe as I have been since the Texas game. Soak this all in, every bit, because we just witnessed the perfect season and the best LSU will ever have. Unbelievable

Well, believe it. We are just getting started too under Os tenure. He isn't even close to having this program where it will be in the next few seasons. We will be competing for national titles and winning sec titles on the reg. It's coming man I'm telling you. Os vision and goal for this program are very high and he knows what the potential of this program is and will get it there. LSU is entering it's golden age of football, the likes we have always known were possible at LSU with the potential we have, but never really seen it come to pass. These are going to be the greatest years in LSU football history, ever. Coach O is going to be the one that finally gets LSU football living up to it's potential and it's going to be awesome for we LSU fans, but fricking wicked scary for opposing programs. LSU is going to be unstoppable. Just think of what bama and Clemson have done with less of a natural recruiting footprint that LSU has and LSU also had more resources and better fans support them Clemson has. Bama has a similar sized fan base, but LSU prob has a larger one bc most of bamas "fans" aren't financially invested in their program, have no ties to the university or the state of Alabama and are legit bandwagon fans. LSU has a much more loyal fanbase than both bama and Clemson and is the only bigtime football program in the state of Louisiana, it's all lsu all the time here. LSU can do just as much as bama and Clemson have done and more under O. Just sit back and enjoy bc it's happening. O has a huge chip on his shoulder still, even after this last season and his success bc he is still looked at as being lucky bc of having burrow and co with Brady coaching them. That's bullshite. Coach O built that team himself and assembled the staff himself and will do it again. His greatest attributes are recognising talent, whether it be coaches or players. Then, once he lands them and gets them into our program, he knows the right buttons to push to get the most out of them and maximize their potential as coaches and players. Coaches don't make LSU, LSU makes coaches. Aranda, Brady, etc can be replaced at LSU with the talent we have. Our players and our culture that o has built in his time as the CEO are what makes LSU the program that it is today. Angrest example of what I'm talking about is chavis. He had top defenses here at LSU bc he had more talent than everyone else. Once he had to truly out coach teams, look what happened to him. He was mediocre at Texas am and horrible at arky. LSU makes these coaches and it's why LSU is always going to be able to get the pick of the litter as far as coaches are concerned. They want to coach here at LSU and now that we have O at the helm with a natty under his belt...coaches and players alike are going to it to flock to our program. Coaches want to coach with o and players want to play for him. Orgeron is about to go on a nice long run and prove to all the doubters, once again, that he is an elite coach and program manager. He's such a great coach and even better man, and he deserves every bit of success he, his family and this LSU football program are about to accomplish. Geaux coach O and geaux Fightin' Tigahs!

And I wish I had understood how good we really were during the season and not until the end of the Clemson game. For me it is so intense that it gets hard to appreciate what you have while it is happening. I was witnessing greatness but didn't really realize it until it was over and I could breath again. Geaux Tigers! Geaux Eaux! 15 and Eaux.

Winning the national title with an undefeated season was amazing and fantastic, but ultimately believable- we've said for years that if we could get past Alabama, there would be no one else capable of beating us.
So, that accomplishment was more of "we finally did it".

What I still have trouble comprehending, is Joe Burrow's season.
His averages are insane:
27-35, 378 yds, 4 tds, with less than 1 int a game (less than 1 every 2 games actually).

Over 300 yds 13 times. Over 400 yds 4 times, including both playoff games.
5 or more passing TDs 6 times, including both playoff games.

His PLAYOFF average, in what should be the 2 biggest games of the year:
30-44, 478 yds, 6 tds, 0 int, 39.5 rushing yds with 1 TD.
A game.

It's been said before, but it's worth repeating: Joe Burrow did BETTER in real, live football games, than most people could do in Madden Football set to Easy level. And this occurred at LSU, where passing had been a disaster.

At some point in the offseason, it will sink in just how incredible that guy was. Right now, I think a lot of the love is still just "he was our QB". He was more than that, he truly was Greatest Ever.
