I am indifferent about the game. I used to hate the 49ers when they were in the Saints division but that has faded. I just have no real interest.

Not really sure why it would have an impact on your interest level in things. Seems kind of weird.
This...
IMO, it's also kind of fricked up to feel so bad over Kobe and his daughter, and yet seem to not give a whit about the other 7 people who died in the very same event.
It's the same kind of carnage that happens all over America every day. Usually it involves automobiles instead of helicopters....
I understand why it's sad, I get why it's tragic, I just don't see how people take it personally.

I will still watch and hope for a good game. If SF runs the ball most of the game may not be very exciting. Maybe SF runs for slow TD and KC with quick strike and stays close.

IDGAF about the Super Bowl and it has nothing to do with Kobe

I'm more excited about watching the Waste Mgmt Open this weekend.

No. Fat Andy is finally back and we get to see top notch O against top notch D.
I'm excited for what Mahomes and Auto can do.
Also... I'm about done with the media's latest Tragedy Porn Extravaganza.

Six Nations Rugby kicks off this weekend I could care less about the Superbowl. Hell I'm more excited about the XFL than the Superbowl.

I'm actually looking forward to the Super Bowl this year. Didn't even watch last it last year. How can you not like this matchup though if you're a football fan?
Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl for the first time in decades.
Great offense vs great defense.
Two talented young QBs facing off against each other as well as two of the best offensive minded coaches in the league.
As an LSU fan I'm excited for Honey Badger and the other former Tigers that get to be there. I have a feeling he's going to have a big impact on Sunday.

I'm looking forward to it. 2 best teams are playing period. It's someone other than Patriots and I can guarantee it will be more exciting than last years Super Bowl.

I'm looking forward to the game, it should be a good one. But have to say that the media hype machine surrounding the Super Bowl isn't in overdrive like it normally has been in years past. It used to be two weeks of non-stop SB talk, so much that you got sick of it and just wanted the thing to be over. This year the hype machine hasn't been as great. I do think the Kobe story took a lot of air out of the SB hype machine.

Nope, I'm freaking pumped. I love the matchup
That's how I feel. I'd love the see the Niners win playing old school run the ball football and I'd love to see Andy Reid finally get one. It's a win/win for me. Jimmy is going to have to throw the ball more than 8 times Sunday, I'm curious to see how he handles the moment.

Kobe’s death does sort of take my mind off the SB hoopla. However, I basically lost most of my interest after the Vikings game.
It was “oh no, not again. frick it.”

Just so happened Kobe died the Sunday before it.

Does this not get set every year? Super Bowl tickets are also ridiculous. Especially for a game where the atmosphere I'd imagine is largely a big corporate meh fest.

I'm more jazzed about this Super Bowl than I have been in several years. It doesn't feature the evil empire or a team that got in after the refs butt-fricked the Saints. I would like to see Tyrann Mathieu and Mahomes get a ring. But then again, I wouldn't mind seeing Richard Sherman get another one.
