Mine literally sounded like a violin.

My next one will absolutely be a hamske limb driven. Last two have been qad, and they're ok. I just think the hamske is better.

This.
Whisker biscuits were great for a time but since drop aways have gotten so much better there’s no reason not to have one.
I actually still have a whisker biscuit on my backup bow but it’s for emergencies only and I have a drop away to put on it but haven’t gotten around to doing it yet.

I still dont understand what the advantage of a drop-away is. A few extra fps? Hardly worth the extra complexity to me.

No sir, just sold a tikka, not planning to get another. I hate the clips.

i knew thre would be a day when tikka will fall in the eyes of the OB. i never liked them. mainly because of the name.

I know a guy who tested them over a chrono and the variation from shot to shot was more that the speed gain from the drop rest. So im curious about what other advantage there is. Surely there must be something significant that I'm missing.

Vane contact with the bristles vs vane contact with nothing. It's not about speed at all.

From a field and stream article that compared a WB to a drop away.
The Results
Speed-difference range: 3 to 6 fps. Total average group size for WB, fallaway:
30 Yards: 2.68, 2.55
40 Yards: 3.67, 3.15
60 Yards: 5.29, 5.19
As with any study or experiment the results can be skewed to whatever you want.
But based on my 30 plus years of slinging arrows that .1in is not worth adding more mechanical things that can go wrong.

Whisker Biscuit would also prevent you from running vanes with a helical twist. I do believe it is recommended to only run straight fletch vanes.

I shoot a HHA virtus and the only other id be interested in is a QAD HDX... Both are good

That I could see, although I've never shot helical fletching.
Posted on 1/30/20 at 1:42 pm to DownshiftAndFloorIt
I only shoot helical.
