Based on recent contracts, LSU seems to be throwing too much money at just about everyone.

Particularly for a guy making about $200k-$300k at the moment. And one that didn't seem to have much significant interest outside of LSU.

He must have been O's first and only choice, leaving LSU with little negotiating leverage.

it's a 20% cut from what we were paying and it's not like Bo isn't accomplished

LSU should be paying towards the top of the DC market given the proud Defensive tradition

It’s the price you pay now to get big time people that are considered among the best. Why would Bo Pelini take this job for less? Why would LSU pay less? If you are good at what you do and you are approached to replace someone that left for another job, you don’t take it unless the money is the same or more than the other person was making, period.
