Biano Di Napoli whole peeled tomatoes...holy hell

Been on a tomato test for years trying to find something better, for both pizza and sauces, other than Cento or other "upscale" canned Tomatoes
I have bought probably around 10 different kinds, from Muir Glen to all kinds of imported /
San Marizano varieties. Some better than others, obviously, and some with high reviews online, but after finally biting the bullet and ordering a case of Di Napoli whole peeled (which were finally in stock), I'll never buy anything else if I can help it.
It's the only canned tomato I have found with virtually no bitterness from the juices of fruit itself. I fried up a giant batch of meatballs today and slow cooked them all afternoon in nothing but Di Napoli tomatoes with a bit of garlic, carrot, onion, salt, pepper, fresh basil, a dash of sugar, and white wine.
It's the smoothest, best Sunday gravy red sauce I've ever made.

Did you strain the tomatoes?
LINK / has them for just over $7 a can after obscene shipping but you have to buy 12.
Amazon has them for $44 for 6 cans.
I bought them on EBay for $40 for 6 cans shipped. I will judge harshly and fairly once received.

Where did you order them from? Amazon wants $44 for 6 cans.

I believe this is the only brand the fellow from Bread and Circus (Lafayette place) will use for his pizza sauce.

I use Centos religiously for my red gravy but always looking for improvement. Just ordered a 6 pack of the DiNapoli off Amazon for $44. Will try this weekend. Thanks for the tip!

Friend,
Where were you the other day wit this link? If you bump up to $50 in purchases, you get free shipping.
Just ordered 100 of these and will be handing them out as gifts to random people in the French Quarter next weekend. With free shipping, which you get if you purchase 13, the price is a more palatable $4 per can. Still, significantly more than my normal Walmart Great Value cost of $0.82. Jack Ruby's enthusiasm, though, has sold me.
Excited,

Ohhh, I didn't even realize it was free shipping if you spend $50. Nice!!
Funny cause I found the website by Googling the seller on Amazon

so all you have to do is blend this since they are whole to make a sauce?

Regrettably, tomatoes are seasonal. So next year's batch may not be the same as this year's.
Cook's Illustrated concluded this after finding that every time they tested canned tomatoes, a different brand would win. Every crop is different.

Going to make a massive pot of red gravy and meatballs this weekend. Thanks again for the Caputos link.
