Movie: “You were never really here”, how screwed up was it?

Just watched it. Want to hear other opinions.
The whole movie was incoherent. It seemed like “pornography” for the degenerate pedo elite. I thought Juaquin Phoenix was a talented actor, but after seeing him in Joker and this movie, and in light of his old interview with David Letterman, I think he’s just another typical abused actor, victim-pawn of the industry, living (not acting) the role he was ordered.
That movie was made for *them* and their twisted fantasies. It only makes sense if you deduce it was made for these degenerates to pretend that they were in these sick roles.

I say this as someone who only became a regular on TD specifically for the Q thread on the Politics Board, and was reprimanded and ordered not to discuss politics on the Q thread on the politics board or else be banned.
ETA: Movie board probably would have bitched at me for pedogate / conspiracy theory nonsense, so I’m sure I chose the right board.

It was based on a novella. I think sometimes there’s something missing in the conversion. I enjoyed the book more even tho it followed pretty closely If I remember correctly.
