Won't this lead to banks and cc companies being more restrictive on who they do business with
Fortunately, Comrade Bernard anticipated this. The US Post Office will offer banking services. They're great at handling finances right?
quote:
All of these things would essentially create an illiquid housing market and zero out demand for low cost housing. The only investable properties right now with decent cap rates would become univestable
That's the idea. Disincentivize private investment in the housing market because private investment is motivated by profit and not the greater good. At that point, the government intervenes in the housing crisis with affordable housing subsidized by the collective. Housing is a "human right". Therefore how can it be left held as a private commodity?

A declared communist as the democrat nominee would be the biggest existential threat America faces.
The rest of their clown show nomination field really isn’t that much different than him. Bernie is just more open about his end game.

Bernie doesn’t really believe any of that shite
He is a con man, pandering for support, he knows none of that will work

That^.
With Bernie drooling 60's communist slogans and Schumer talking to invisible people and Biden rambling out of context "answers", they're quite a sight to behold.

Directly from the linked website:
This is precisely the position of the US Chamber of Commerce and the WSJ Editorial Board.
Bern's a fraud and a fake. His supporters deserve to have the rug pulled out from under them again, just like in '16.
ETA - Here's what Bern was saying about immigration in 2007:
New Bern says, come one, come all, and frick the poor native-born peasants that I used to champion. Just like the good little born-again capitalist shill he has become.

A Welcoming And Safe America For All:
Institute a moratorium on deportations until a thorough audit of past practices and policies is complete.
Reinstate and expand DACA and develop a humane policy for those seeking asylum.
Completely reshape and reform our immigration enforcement system, including breaking up ICE and CBP and redistributing their functions to their proper authorities.
Dismantle cruel and inhumane deportation programs and detention centers and reunite families who have been separated.
Live up to our ideals as a nation and welcome refugees and those seeking asylum, including those displaced by climate change.

ETA - Here's what Bern was saying about immigration in 2007:
quote:That's a traditional socialist position - we need to take care of our own working class, and make it difficult for employers to race to the bottom by importing cheap foreign labor to undercut wages.
"I believe we have very serious immigration problems in this country," Sanders said during a 2007 press event, with AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka behind him. "I think as you've heard today, sanctions against employers who employ illegal immigrants is virtually nonexistent. Our border is very porous. And I think at a time when the middle class is shrinking, the last thing we need is to bring over in a period of years, millions of people into this country who are prepared to lower wages for American workers,"

Realistically and unfortunately this country already has a shite ton of socialism. Socialism can only be maintained at a certain level through capitalism. We’ve already passed the point at which socialism can be supported but a socialist thinks more socialism is always the answer.

Just think, there are grown men on this very website who think what is in the OP is feasible

Won't this lead to banks and cc companies being more restrictive on who they do business with (basically reject more so that the lower interest rate isn't offset by higher numbers of defaults)? That will really piss the SJW off.
This, and loan sharking via organized crime will skyrocket.

Enact a federal jobs guarantee
Can you even fathom the cluster F of waste and uselessness of the fed govt guaranteeing every useless and lazy person a govt job? I mean, my god.
You’ll create a massive bureaucracy of thousands people who do nothing but manage and oversee potentially millions of “employees” who will literally do absolutely nothing and in the meantime totally disrupt the private labor market. Nothing will usher in the massive use of AI and automation faster.
You’ll create a permanent and massive underclass of totally uneducated, lazy, and entitled people who will be paid a living wage to do nothing and have their entire existence dependent on the US Govt, especially when combined with the massive increase in public housing and free healthcare. Literally no to do a day of actual work in your entire life, if you don’t want to
