The whole thing is nuts, honestly. It seems every time someone has a reasonable theory that gives us some hope, the expectations end up getting dashed.

Baloney! I’ll give you a reasonable theory: Jefferson and Orleans Parishes peaked in April before we knew what the frick was going on. All the epidemiologists predicted our peak would come in early May, because that’s when the social distancing would come into effect. But whoops! It flattened on April 2nd. What happened? We started to flirt with herd immunity, that’s what.

We opened back up on May 15th, and three months later, after tepid social distancing, we had a peak of...oh, it’s hard to measure such a tiny peak. COVID-19 is whipped in the GNO area, and it will be whipped across the South in another month. The only possible problem is that the winter could trigger a recrudescence.

Lots of diseases get too far along for treatment to work. I believe a ZPak for the flu needs to be taken in the beginning.

Looking at the other Figure in that paper, look how the risk of death has decreased as time has gone on with this thing.

Before March 22nd is the reference (1), every data after that goes under 1.

Conclusions

While children become infected by SARS-CoV-2, they do not appear to transmit infection to others. Furthermore, children more frequently have an asymptomatic or mild course compared to adults.

Things that are obviously wrong are probably wrong. Common sense tells you that if COVID can kill 40 children in the US then they can transmit it.
Study shows children DO INDEED transmit COVID-19

My point is this

Covid has roughly a 99.5% chance of survival without any meds

So, far someone to say "my medicine works as long as the person takes it before they are really sick" is bullshite

Huh?

What you said makes zero sense. 40 deaths simply means children can get covid. That in no way shows they can transmit it.....

Now, transmission certainly maybe happening from children, but your statement above has zero logic

Also, from your very own link

quote:

A large new study from South Korea offers an answer: Children younger than 10 transmit to others much less often than adults do

Also, your study is following only get who get ill. So, it is missing the majority of infected children as most show no symptoms. Highly flawed, and will obviously show a higher spread rate because of this

quote:

The researchers traced the contacts only of children who felt ill

He is saying if you have one or more of the things that show you are high risk you need to take it early.

BMI is also a very crude measure. There is a big difference between subcutaneous fat and visceral fat. A 29 BMI that holds most of his fat viscerally (beer gut) vs a 29 BMI that holds most of his fat on legs, back, etc are two different levels of health.

As an ignorant with a beer gut, which is considered healthier?

This is the same data set or group of children in that much publicized study from a month or two back used to shout about "see, kids get infected!"

Neither is healthy, but visceral (beer gut) is worse. It is the fat that surrounds your organs. It is more likely to cause the beetus, HBP, heart disease, etc, than subcutaneous.

I have not seen them if they do. But, my wife has certainly considered murdering me. Though she probably considered it pre-COVID.
