I think it stands for several years. Just look at the pass happy teams in the Big 12 playing Charmin soft defenses. None of their QBs has reached 60.
There comes a point where even though the game has evolved a QB still only has so many attempts.

There will be an additional game when it goes to an 8-team playoff, so probably shortly after that happens.

Probably not that long, Leach at MSU might find exactly who he needs and he's thrown it over 700 times in a single season in the past.

Burrow’s extra games were against 3 top 5 teams including the #1 and #3 defense
16 passing and 2 rushing touchdowns. No picks
You’ll never see this again and even though he got the extra games, they were against the best teams and he had his most prolific days

But they would need the extra games where they will presumably face better competition.
You’ll never see this again. Burrow played one more game than cam newton. Newton had 51 total TDs. Burrow had 65.
One game doesn’t account for 14 TDs

Until Joe Burrow Jr.’s redshirt sophomore year.

Brennan gets 69 next year
Wouldn't be his first time going over 60 TDs. He threw for 64 TDs in a 15 game season in high school. Brennan knows how to run this offense. He averaged 55 TDs a year, 357 yards per game....dude threw 165 TDs in high school. He knows how to get the ball to the endzone.

The teams that can potentially break (shite conferences) it won't be playing in 15 games so I expect this to stand longer than people think

Once college football goes to a 64 team playoff if won’t stand a chance

What will it be in 20 years from now?
Many records fall mainly due to the additional games, just like in pro football.
Nationally? The record probably will be broken in the next 5 years.
The school record? It will be a long long time if ever.
Better question, how long will the 4 TD Passes per Game LSU record hold? Because before Burrow only 1 LSU QB (Mettenburger) had ever thrown 5 TD passes in a game.

How long will the 60 TD record stand?
As long as young men rise up against other young gridiron warriors on Saturdays in the fall.
As long as fog rises from bayous and swamps in the early morning.
As long as Louisiana mothers make gumbos.
As long as old men sit around hunting camp fires and tell the legend of Jeaux Burreaux, and of that magical time when he came to LSU and made 60 the number we remember always.
That’s how long.

Probably within 5 years now that Leach is at MSU.
Aw, come on, have his defenses been that bad? Even if we write in seven for Brennan that's a lot of TDs to give up.
