I’m a Protestant myself, these people are insufferable. Not quite televangelist followers insufferable but damn near it.
And I get here the same time on every Sunday I eat out, but apparently they “let out early”.

Funny you mention that because one of them is wearing a big camo Clemson hat that says Jesus loves you.
ETA: little tater by the drink machine was talking about Odell passing out cash saying that since the season “wasn’t officially over” that “Clemson can challenge it if they want” but “Dabo is too nice to do that”.
I said for frick’s sake and left. This is what we have to deal with with these people.

Seems like Protestants get some kind of weird post-church high that clouds their judgment.
I remember Hardy Street in Hattiesburg being an absolute deathtrap on Sunday when First Baptist let out. Richard Petty himself never cut off a competitor with such brazen disregard for courtesy or his own neck.
I think it's some strange combination of "we're better than these non-churchgoers so they should get out of the way" amd "we're going to Heaven anyway so screw it."
