He and we will find out if he is a Saban/Belichick type coach or just a good coach who put it all together for a magical season.

Greatest season in history either way and he is to be forever respected and loved by LSU fans.

If you look close enough, you can definitely spot the shadowed haters' giddy anticipation for next year.

Not saying you, OP, just something I've noticed on here and Twitter since last night.

Both Brady and Aranda are replaceable. Ed O is not!

I’m not worried in the slightest. Even though we lose a lot, it’s going to be really tough for any coach we offer to turn town the money and unlimited potential both sides of the ball we have to offer. Hell Joe Brady was a no name last year but Orgeron saw the talent and took a chance. We see how it worked out

Yep. You can tell who is ready to jump all over him at the first sign of trouble. Really sad. They were quieted for a season, but are laying in wait.

I think we all knew this before anybody ever left.

We were led by big offense this year. Even with the losses, I can see our defense leading this team next year with a lot of offensive help.

When O hired Joe Brady, no one had even heard of him, and in one season he catapulted into an NFL OC. O knows talent when he sees it. I trust his judgement and think whoever he hires will be a home run.

Orgeron has a great opportunity to set himself at the very top of the list of all time greatest coaches. If he manages to put together another staff and we win another championship within 2 years, he will start being talked about in the media as one of the greatest coaches ever.

Well that’s just stupid. The last two coaches won national championships at LSU. Obviously he can be replaced by someone and this isn’t a bash on Orgeron. He’s doing good things and I’m damn glad he’s our coach.

The incoming freshman and sophomores are gonna ball out next year. Guillory is a full grown man and Gilbert is gonna be a hell of a weapon for Brennan. Expect Mo Hampton to step up big time also, and with Todd Harris coming back from injury we’ll be just fine.

Let’s pray not. Orgeron is a great recruiter and motivator. But, he desperately needs really good coordinators and assistant coaches to make him look good. Luckily, he seems to understand that now.

He’s not that type of coach. He’s more like a Mike Tomlin or Joe Paterno. They need coordinators to do their jobs. Saban and Belichick were defensive masterminds that could win without great offenses based entirely on what they specialized in. Coach O can’t do that.

Saban relies on his assistants, too....in fact......they do more actual coaching than Nick does...I hate to lose these guys, but LSU is a major power.....we will probably be able attract some major coaching talent...
