Business owners: Are you having hard time finding employees?

This passed year n more have been frustrating. Subcontractors don’t have enough to man jobs. Temp agencies send thugs and druggies. I have many more projects planned but lack manpower. I’m pro-Trump, but we need immigrants ASAP. I’m sorry. Americans are spoiled, addicted, and too lazy.

Biggest problem for the company was finding people that could pass the piss test for lower level jobs. Money wasn't that bad either. Neither was the work and environment. Weed was just more important to them than the job.

Unless these immigrants are skilled at hydraulics and controls, and are willing to live in snow, they are of no use.
Now, if a couple of them want to come up to this culinary wasteland and start a decent Mexican restaurant, I’m willing to look the other way on the paperwork.

To be fair, we don’t need more immigrants, we need to get rid of welfare, curb charities and buckle down for the brief crime wave. Then Americans will go to work.

YES - especially in Destin FL where this is a resort town and nobody who needs to work locally lives here. It’s brutal. Right now I’m offering $30.00/hour and don’t even drug screen anymore. I don’t even care about background checks anymore. I’ve had maybe 6 people apply that worked in the hospitality industry that I simply can’t use

There are plenty of people who “could” work but won’t because the welfare state has destroyed their incentive. I’m all for legal immigrants but we need to get the folks off welfare and into the workforce before we go all in on that route.
They could definitely learn to work again if forced, but sadly none of our politicians will speak the truth and cut entitlements.

From my experience, the majority of the jobs available don't have anyone qualified to do them and employers are unwilling to train. Also employers' standards are unreasonably high, probably because they don't want to fill those positions in the first place. Its cheaper to pay the few workers you have a little overtime than it is to hire new employees.

Increase your pay scale and the problem will be resolved.
There are plenty of Americans that will bust their arse and do a great job, they just are not going to do it for shite money.

We dont need immigrants that are spoiled and lazy. Government cash instantly makes their lives better with no work, and previous administrations have advertised this.
We have to wise the frick up on teaching our kids. They have to be self reliant. I do see that with young college kids though. They give me hope. Upperclassmen and graduates are the soft, weak, unemployable bitches.

What type of work?
College guys and HS kids you may want to look at. You may go through a bunch trying to find some that aren't worthless and spoiled but it sounds like you are already burning through people so not a big change.
I started cleaning construction sites my soph yr in HS and was pushing a 12-15 man crew by the time I graduated.
There is still some decent hard working kids out there.
