I probably will not be of much help but my 2010 has 98k and barely counts as having been broken in. I did have to get the drive train reprogrammed as I had a problem of the truck shutting off while driving. Happened to me three times but reprogramming fixed it. While that is a serious issue, I have not had any other problems.

I have a 2007, 138,000 miles, no major issues.

Had an '04 FX4 and got about 215k before selling it. The only major problem I remember is the front actuator for the 4 wheel drive not properly working one time. Be sure to check the shifter connection to transmission. It's plastic and can come off easy/break with age.

Slightly out of your date range, but - I bought a 2004 F-150 SuperCrew w/4.6L V-8. It has ~250k miles. Changed oil and filter EVERY 5k, tune-up and changed EVERY fluid at 100k and 200k. Runs like new, no drivetrain problems - I believe it will run 350-400k - but some of the interior parts are wearing out and the radio/CD player is failing.

I had a 2008 F150 for my work truck. It finally gave out at 325k miles. Great truck.

They are for the most part excellent trucks. Also, post this question on the Outdoor Board as well, lots of folks on there with lots of truck knowledge.

I just sold my 2009 F150 with 239000 on it and it was still running great. The only reason I bought new is I work a 6 State area and put tons of miles on my truck. I already miss it.

thanks y'all. need a good truck that I can put a good 1-2k miles on per month and light farm/deer camp work and not have to worry about a tranny or engine failure.
looking at an '07 with 142k for 7,500 and a few others in the same mileage and date range.

I have a 2005 sitting in my driveway because of a bad cylinder. We think a spark plug broke (google Ford 2005 F150 spark plugs) and scored the inside something bad. Also have a hole in the cylinder head. It sure when it happened but it’s been a gradual downhill trend.
If you get one, have the variable valve timing turned off and replace the plugs ASAP.

Wow. I have 1 2006 with only 77000 miles. I know, I really need to get out more.

I have an 09 5.4 V8 with 173k miles. I’ve stopped driving as much as I used to. Only put ~13k miles on it in 2019.
It’s running so well I am not concerned at all about going for another 3 years.

What engine? 4.6 or 5.4? As a poster mentioned the 5.4 can have a head issue if not addressed. Those Years are some of the best ford has put out. My father in law has a 2006 with 175k on it and it runs like the day he bought it with minimal work being performed on it.

Remember, many are first owners of the truck they mention. A truck that age, with a hard 75000 miles is worse than one well cared for with 150000 miles
