If it’s the 5.4L V8, the stock spark plugs are likely two-piece designs that break off when they are first changed. I went through it on my 2007. Broke 4 of 8 and had to use the Lisle tool to extract them. One of them broke in such a way that I had to mill out part of the Lisle bit to grab the broken plug.

Terrible design and a pain to change!

2009 with100k miles and no trouble aside from the heat and air which was under warranty.

I had over 120k on my 05. Traded it in, but that truck would have kept going forever. Great truck. Miss that thing.

03’ 237k I drive to work and the woods everyday. I don’t know what some of the posters do to vehicles to destroy them. Change the oil, service as needed, don’t allow little problems to become big problems.
