Brief as it was, we at least not a laughing stock and got one SB win out of it. But for that mfer Rodger Goodall, probably would have gotten one more.
Or do we have a year or so left before the rebuild?

Yeah we’re done. Brees is just too old to make defenses cover the entire field, which limits SP’s offense. Greatest Saint ever, but it’s over.
Honestly, I’m not sure the right move at this point, but it may be time to trade some assets for draft picks. Free Agency, outside a top flight QB, is insufficient to get it done.

Title window is shut.
We’ll be competitive, but I don’t know how anyone can trust this team in the playoffs again.
The ball actually bounced our way quite a bit this year and it still didn’t happen for us.
It was a fun ride.

The Brees-Payton Saints simply are not very good in the playoffs. Except for one season, they never have been very good in the playoffs.

We need to become a run dominant team with a defense that shuts down and creates turnovers. Brees as he is now isn’t good enough to take over a game and win it.

How long have you been a Saints fan??? Not calling you a bandwagon fan...but the Saints have had a decent team for the majority of Payton's tenure.. I have seen a hand full of decades of some of the worst an NFL team can show.

Yea we'd have to pull a Bellechzek renegotiate Brees down about 5 million, cut half the team. Let Kamara go and get some sturdier power backs. We need another OG instead of Peat. The only people I'd pay would be Cam Jordan , Lattimore. Thomas. We need better #2-3 receivers

2011 was the best team I’ve ever witnessed. Offense was out of this world, defense was capable.
That team got coached out of a championship. I’m a homer... I love Payton, I love Brees but take off the gold glasses and it’s a shame we only won 1 championship in this era.

Saints fan from before you were born and from first game boy. Tulane Stadium, first play of Saints era was kickoff return for TD, then we got our arse kicked. Detriot maybe or was that Dempsey kick game?
Always thankful for the Super Bowl win, and I think we would have won last year, but this team was not elite, great record but none of us really thought we were going to SB this year.
First playoff loss ever than may be Drew’s fault , he was injured, missed 4 games and really just wasn’t good in the game against Minnesota . First year it looks like Father Time really looks like he has caught up with him.
CSP will not, I repeat will not, address the weaknesses of the team to help Drew out. Be in just being stubborn or being overconfident he seems to think Drew has 5 years left. I did too last year.
