This is something that I think could work for me to help me shed a few lbs

I hadn't seen it talked about on here but essentially the idea is that you only eat eggs that you can accompany with butter or full fat cheese in varied amounts

It's not really a fast (in fact the opposite of one) since they recommend that you eat at least 1 egg every 3-4 hours. And a minimum of 6 eggs a day are required.

Eggs are pretty filling and cheap. I figure I could probably get by on 8-12 eggs a day for 5 days.

I'm not necessarily trying to get into ketosis if that matters

You will get into ketosis. This is essentially the fat fast.

I dont really see how this would benefit you, but knock yourself out. I would do egg whites, mainly because I like the taste better.

Yep, it's not recommended for more than 5 days. You will need to drink a lot of water.

It is an easy way to jump start ketosis.

OP wants to use to to drop wight quick. It will work, but when he goes back to his regular diet, he will gain it back.

Why do people feel the need to adopt completely absurd eating protocols in order to lose weight?

In 5 days the only weight you will actually lose eating this way is water due to avoiding carbs

It could work if you really like eggs. I love them. I eat three over easy every morning and never get tired of them. Shake some Himalayan salt on them for the minerals and drink lots of water. You will need them once you go into ketosis.
