Dude. That is more of an indictment of how far the left has gone off the reservation.

The Epstein joke was pretty good
It was hilarious actually. He was talking about some severely depressed actor and said - “he didn’t kill himself, just like Jeffrey Epstein”.
Then when the audience gasped, he said” oh shut up - just because you all knew him” or something similar.
I about fell out of my chair.

I don’t have to believe what another person believes to acknowledge the good deed done. You liberals should try it some time.

Oh, so you've been banned multiple times for not going along with the crowd?

The message from Russel Crowe was exactly what Gervasis asked them not to do. Fires in Australia are due to climate change and we need to get behind renewable energy.

Who the frick gives a hoot about what ANY of those people say or think? Those people are coddled, worshiped, and admired by fools who believe their opinion is more important than others' simply because they "entertain" the masses. Hell, those folks are sheltered and kept AWAY from the real world, so WTF??...This includes pro athletes.

Do you think Gervais actually believes any of that?
NBC is paying him to host a glorified roast session, where the rich take an opportunity to laugh at themselves. All of those people are his friends.

This board is wide open and tolerant compared to DU. Even Rex got banned at DU because he was too far right and challenged some posters. Any remote disagreement gets you banned there.
This is pretty true of conservatives in general. Not the fringe right but libertarians and centrists are pretty damned tolerant compared to centrist left leaning folks and the far left. There is nothing a pro-diversity crowd despises worse than someone who disagrees with them....let a white supremacist show up and whoa-nelly....the left will have a conniption fit. Let a flaming homosexual show up at say Panama City Beach over the 4th of July and the folks from the south, all pretty durn conservative, will not go out of their way to make that person feel uncomfortable. If that person acts a foll someone will take him to task but if he simply is there he will be fine....not so the white supremacist in a largely left crowd.
I lean pretty far to the left on a lot of issues and all of my friends are staunch conservatives. We get along fine. I live in the pacific northwest and these people are by far less tolerant than my friends and family in the deep south. As long as you talk the talk they are fine but ask a question or show any sign of not toeing the line and they will lose their minds. The most intolerant people I have ever met were all about being tolerant of people who were different....as long as they were't conservatives and then they simply can't abide that foolishness LOL.

It's just as possible that all of these left wing supposed rebellions against itself are designed to make it look like there are "sensible" liberals who are retaking the party.
Anyway, I did public events and awards galas for years. Not every word is always on the teleprompter.
