Going out there for Easter weekend and it’ll be me and the wife’s first trip. Any recommendations on hotels, shows, restaurants, etc would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Where are you staying? We went two years ago at that time, weather was perfect....We'd enjoyed Beatles Love at mirage.

Absinthe is awesome.
It’s a real small arena so even if you are toward the back you will still have a good view. I’d try and get in the first or 2nd row. I was really surprised how small the arena was. It was one of those shows that puts you in the experience and you don’t want it to end.
Not kid friendly though. It is provocative so if you or the wife or prudish you may not enjoy.
Also saw the cris angel show a couple of years ago and it was cool, but I enjoyed absinthe much more.
I’d like to check out copper field for nostalgia reasons next time I go.

Spring for a Balcony 1 Bedroom Suite with a fountain view at the Cosmo, the wife may make it worth it! Make sure it is the suite, not the studio...the suite has an amazing bathroom that can set the mood. You'll understand once you see it.
Absinthe is always my first recommendation to anyone who hasn't been to Vegas in a while, and I rarely hear of anyone who didn't enjoy the show.
Take an Uber up to Freemont Street one afternoon, it is a different feel, and the people watching under the awning at night is worth the trip; it's a clown show! Think cheesy photo opportunities, talentless buskers, and possible fighting bums! Although, they also have paid acts that perform on stages throughout the area, that can keep the energy up. The casinos in that part of town usually have lower table limits at night than the strip casinos.
There are tons of great restaurants in Vegas, but for a outside the lines recommendation, Beauty and Essex is at the Cosmo... and it has a very eclectic menu of small plates. Been there several times, and everything has been great.
Planet 13 is like the Apple Store/Disneyland...only for cannabis. It is worth at least a visit; if you are into that sort of thing. I don't partake, but was impressed at what the industry could be across the country in a few years.
Depending on how long you are there and if you are wanting to do something besides gamble and lay by the pool during the day, rent a car and ride out to Red Rock Canyon and hike some of the trails. It is only about 40 mins from the strip.

Any Cirque de Soleil show. I've been to 4 different ones in Vegas, and all are very very good.

Beatles Love is great. As for place to stay I would make sure it is in the middle of all the action. Maybe Bellagio.

Just got back from Vegas, was there for NYE & got married. Do the Valley of Fire to Lake Mead loop, the landscape is beautiful, but it takes a few hours. The Mob Museum is cool. Dinner at the top of the Stratosphere was sweet also.

Ka sucks. Wish someone had warned me. O is good as well as Mystere.

Gabriel Iglesias is playing at the Mirage if you want a comedy show
The Black Sheep is a hole-in-wall Vietnamese-American food restaurant that is pretty good. Get some salmon skin tacos

I believe you mean Joe's Stone Crab in the Forum Shops at Caesar's. Absolutely...a great suggestion.
Joe's Crab Shack is definitely not one of the best meals ever!!

We are going back to Vegas in a couple of weeks. We were debating which show to see out of R.U.N and KA. I have not heard of Absinthe, but looks pretty good.
We went last year and saw "O". It was great.

I don't know what R.U.N is but I have seen KA. It sucks.
Edit: I just looked up RUN and the reviews are terrible. I wouldn't go to either of those shows. Beatles Love or Absinthe would be my choice. Maybe a concert if there is someone there at the time that you like.

Just went right before Christmas. Stayed at the Cosmopolitan in a room overlooking the Bellagio fountains. Everything about that hotel was bad arse.
Went and saw ‘O’ and ‘Mystere’. I enjoyed Mystere the most out of those 2, but both were great. I also saw ‘The One’ (Michael Jackson) on a previous trip and really liked it probably the best of the 3.
The Neon Museum is worth checking out, but you need to get a ticket in advance.
The High-Roller (huge Ferris wheel) is pretty cool.
The Bellagio & Cosmo both have really good buffets.

If you want to be off the strip, the SLS is decent.

There are a shite ton of really good restaurants there in Vegas so I’m not even sure where to start.
But for shows, here are my favorites in order:
1. LOVE
2. O
3. Absinthe
4. Michael Jackson ONE
5. Mystere

These are fantastic recommendations.
Had one of the best meals of my life at a restaurant off the strip called Lotus of Siam. So good we went twice on a four day trip. Check it out

I always stay at Signature Condos just behind MGM. Very nice rooms great price no resort fee. Connected to MGM. VRBO Great location on strip. Have fun.

The Sahara is nice since rebranding from SLS. I like staying there because it is more low key, but can easily hop on the rail and be anywhere else quickly.
Echoing the Absinthe recommendations. Awesome show.
Check out The Front Yard at Ellis Island. Highly recommended.
