In 2019, #DrewBrees recorded a 116.3 passer rating when playing under the comfort of a dome.
That shouldn’t surprise anyone.
Take him outside of the dome and throw him into outdoor action, his passer rating drops.
From 116.3 indoors to 116.2 outdoors.
like a fine wine

3 to 2 is a 33% drop off. I’d say that’s clear evidence!
We should just lose this week to save the embarrassment the next

So what, you can argue that he’s been better outdoors because he’s had to be.
Law of averages says he’s had more opportunity to bring up a lower rating from an indoor game then he would have if he had a bad game outdoors. So he’s been great outdoors this year including his last game when it was cold and rainy.

2 of the 3 outside were in the rain. 1 of those 2 was vs a playoff team

Any of the talking heads who say that Brees (or the Saints in general) can’t play outdoors needs to be taken out back and given 10 lashes to the back with a cane. These lazy, ignorant, northeast biased clowns are just repeating what they’re being told in their tiny circle.
It all started when the Saints lost a couple of road playoff games back to back (both extremely close games decided by less than 5pts in Seattle and San Fran). That’s when the false narrative started and it stuck within the media.
Then when the Saints went into Philly and won, they conveniently ignored it. When the Saints put up the best road record in the entire NFL over the last two years, they have again ignored it. frick these people.

Well lost 3 godam games this season 2 of which were in the comfy confines of the dome. This team can win anywhere... book it

I’m have no issue with Brees outdoor
Just saying , but the info in OP is not exactly tweet worthy given the sample size

What are the numbers for our D in outdoor games? I have a feeling they play better outdoors?

He’s beating people down throwing eephus balls

I would suggest Brees giving up the long ball outdoors has been to his benefit.

Just did the math, since we changed up our style of offense a little and alot of our assistant coaches before the 2017 season, we are 15-2 outdoors. If i get time later ill look up brees stats in the games outdoors he played in

Im years past it was true. No running game and no defense to rely on so outdoor games could be ugly. These days that's not the case and the Saints can keep up with anyone outdoors. I think sometimes talking heads get caught in past stigmas or ideas of what a team is/was.

I love the spirit of your thread.
It’s as if a large number of fans, and media members alike, watched the 2006 NFC Championship Game, then immediately spent the next 12.5 years searching for gold in the Yukon a la Robert Service, then came back to the States to tell everyone how Drew can’t play in cold weather games.
