You can change the dial if you ever wanted to mix things up. I had a white dial for about 10 years.
A couple of years ago I had it replaced with a blue dial when I shattered the crystal face, and needed it replaced and all the tiny glass shards cleaned out.

My buddy bought an aquanaut in like 2011. Kept it on winder and sported his Explorer II most of the time. Just sold the aquanaut last week when he got a good deal on an old Nautilus. The Nautilus is about 30 years old but he picked it up for 11k. Sold his aquanaut for 29k

I thought the same, but then I noticed the reflection of “a Christmas story” in the glass and realized it was likely taken tonight. Now he could just be one of the guys in China town in Manhattan that walks up to you with the sheet of all their watches and purses, then goes to some back alley way to get the one you picked.

Which is the bigger waste of money--the rolex or the diesel F250 for the guy living on a half acre lot in a subdivision?? You can probably buy a low end Rolex for the upgrade from gas to diesel and you can buy a nice Rolex for the difference in price of the 250 and F150.

please do tell me why the crappy movement in a rolex is so special? All the used jewelry shops have countless rolexes sitting around, go in there and ask for something like a patek nautilus and nobody has one.
Anyone can get a new 5711 Nautilus at any time just be willing to pay the price, I will sell you mine or my Nautilus 5980 for the right price.
As for Rolex sitting around go try to buy a Kermit, Batman, Ceramic SS Daytona or most any SS oyster for retail.
As for the crappy movement, the basic 3 hand 3255 is arguably the best daily wear automatic movement being made, with maybe one or two other analogs. Outside the Patek Seal, they have the tightest accuracy standard of any mechanical watches arguably they are "tied" with the Omega METAS standard. On my Timegrapher from the factory, they are very much the equal or better of the movements I own that cost far more. Admittedly they don't have the finissage of Haute Horlogerie pieces but the precision of the machining in the movement is as high or higher than most anything out there.
But lets just move to a higher authority. I assume you know who Roger Smith is. For those that do not he is arguably the greatest living watchmaker and his watches are some of the finest mechanical movements in the world and he learned under George Daniels. What does Roger wear around daily? A Rolex EXP I.
If you are interested in his comments about this movement you think is crappy go to 10:30 in the video on this page:

Agreed. I wear my aquanaut in rotation with my other watches. I would say Rolex watches are more durable and scratch resistant. The clasp on the aquanaut is a scratch magnet. I love the watch as it is very light on the wrist.

Received one a couple years ago. I know nothing about it. Still in the box, brand new, never worn.

I used to buy fake rolexs in Dubai and give them as birthday presents to family folks.
a quality fake had a weight about that of a real one,,heavy,,. a poor quality would be aluminum and much lighter.
to tell the difference between a good quality fake and real one. the fake had a quartz movement that gave a smooth second hand sweep. the real one with a mechanical movement would a second hand that went tic, tic, tic, tic

OP 39 with Rhodium Dial. Worth every penny to me.

What is your opinion of Hublot?
I have two in the Classic Fusion line which I got in a trade and just have never flipped, the prices in the gray or used market are reasonable but the new prices are inflated for what you get... even in the Veblen market of watches. The general design is somewhat a knockoff. Based on the iconic porthole design Gerald Genta produced for AP and seen in their Royal Oak line. Jena-Claude Biver once the sales manager for AP in Europe later became the CEO of Hublot and introduced the porthole language there. He has a dozen reasons it is different but some still see Hublot as an Audemars Piguet knockoff.
ETA link to Hodikee Talking Watches segment with Biver where he talks about his time at AP then Hublot and the similarities between the design language

Thanks for that history lesson, I’ve always wondered why the two look so similar
I’ve always wanted an AP, but if I ever decide to get another watch, it’s going to be very tough to choose between that and the Classic Fusion

The 2 Daytonas are worth more than all those watches combined. The Panda 6263 is actually in this picture but the extraordinarily rare 6265 Spirit of Japan is not.
Merry Christmas
