My Christmas Tradition.

I get up and hit all the grocery stores early on Christmas Eve. You can get some great deals on steaks.
I scored pretty big this morning on some rib eyes and Strips.
Spent about 100 bucks, and brought home, probably 300 bucks worth of steaks.

But if you freeze those steaks is it really worth it? I wouldn’t pay more than 1/3 of the normal price of a steak for something I’d have to freeze

I let them sit in the fridge for a few days before I freeze them, instead of freezing them right away. They seem to do much better that way.

I suppose there are several reasons. People are broke, they will be eating more turkey, ham and leftovers for a few days. The EBT cards don't get bumped until the end of the month?
Whatever the reason, it's a good day to get some deals on steaks.

We do steak and shrimp at my parents house on Christmas Eve. It’s a nice break from all the traditional holiday food.
