I’ve focused on mostly school for most of my life and have been a complete bookworm, and now I’m in my last year with a just about guaranteed job after graduating. I have never really socialized at school/places and my class size is pretty small (Computer Engineer) now. I’m trying to figure out how to get a social life/social circle of friends going honestly, and I don’t know where to start. How did you guys end up doing it/do you have any advice?

Sitting behind hot chicks and shooting spit balls at them, asking them for their notes.

It worked, except when it didn’t.

You drink?

If not and you’re religious at all the school groups for all that stuff can be good

Made some life long friends in study groups with folks in my major. But those usually ended up in us getting fricked up

Check out some clubs, social organizations. What other interests do you have? Find people with similar.

Do you have any other computer engineering friends?

A small bit of effort will increase your circle. Engage in friendly conversation, ask questions and make mental notes about your new friends. Easy peasy.

I was in a ton of college clubs and can’t remember a soul from any of them. 40 years later and my fraternity brothers and I still meet for lunch once a week.

Find a club that gives you a boner and you might meet a real friend there. Join some generic clubs if you just want to be around people.
