I’m a Christian too but there is a point where many people use God to paint a rosy picture to the world. Jesus in fact warned us about those people. In my experience the real Christians don’t wear it as an advertisement. They simply live a certain way. Many a politician has used the “good Christian man” persona.

We all have BS detectors and mine just goes off on high alert when I see Dabo aw shucks his way through an interview. That guy is full of piss and vinegar and a hell of a salesman. You have to have some of both as a football coach but a little humility would do him some good.

And I don’t resent that they have the best program in America. Good on him for building that. But own it. We are all striving to be Clemson. Stop being a victim cuz you ain’t one.

If you make a false advertisement of faith, then yeah, I agree it should not be done that way. I don't think his faith is false, though I certainly don't know him personally to be able to say that I know for sure. But I do find that some of his, as you put it, "aww shucks" routine comes across as disingenuous. And maybe I'm wrong about that. But his complaining is not the way any self-respecting person should act, IMO.

Again, I think players know when they are genuinely being disrespected, and they will take whatever extra motivation they can get from that, without their coach needing to tell them anything. But Dabo is just inventing a narrative that isn't even there, and it makes him look really small.

only Dabo could take a program that's currently 68-4 in the last 5 years, 2 NCs, making almost 10 mil/year in salary and play the "our program is disrespected" card

Nah, Saban could as well.

Clemson has the luxury of an easy schedule, not a shocker or a secret to anyone. This not only produces easy wins, it keeps your team healthy throughout the season and allows for less wear and tear. Everyone stays at peak physical strength throughout the year and come time for the CFP, they are primed and ready to take on the beat up B1G and SEC champs/leaders. Clemson/Dabo is in a WIN/WIN/WIN situation, and he and every other person that pays attention knows it.
I think his woe as me schtick is partly from a guilty conscience.

Dabo's "lil old Clemson" act has been stale for awhile now. Never thought I'd see the day when I'd be forced to pull for OSU and hopefully this is the first and last time it happens.

Hello, I come in peace. A lot of people think it's all an act with Dabo. I can assure everyone it is not. I'm not sure if everyone is aware of all the charity work Dabo and he wife are involved in and have even started. From his breast cancer charity to the Clemson life (kids with down syndrome) habitat for humanity and many more. Everything is a teaching moment for his players to go into the world and be good men. He even makes them clean up the movie theater with leaf blowers after they go to a movie. Anyway, we do feel a little disrespected but it is what it is. I wish L.S.U much luck and hope both our teams stay healthy and make it to the championship game. To be the best you have to beat the best. You all will agree with me on this...GO TIGERS!!!

The Heisman voters and those pesky NCAA statistics disagree.

I really hope we get to play them, so we can shut his whiny arse up, but if Ohio State whips that arse and makes that androgenous QB look pedestrian them I'll be cool with that too.

I hope Clemson gets pounded in the ground. I’m tired of hearing about Clemson. Clemson is the modern day equivalent to FSU in the 80s.
