I have mixed feelings. Suppose the "present" vote was cast in a situation whereby it was a decisive vote (or, rather, non-vote).

So she was the reason for no impeachment. Would that hypothetical change anyone's opinion?

Back in the day, you could win the football national championship if you had a tie and the #2 team had a loss. A tie is better than a loss and "present" is, by most accounts, better than a "yes, impeach".

She is nothing but a side stepper and all wishy washy. When confronted with tough questions she will NEVER give you a straight answer on anything, just a shite eating grin. I can't stand the bitch.

You can't even be decisive. No wonder you are sticking up for her.

I am not indecisive on impeachment. Did you miss my point?

She is trending on Twitter, and the left is attacking her big time.

She’s actually the only sane Democrat in the race, but I still disagree with her on most things.

Pretty sure she lost all support with this vote. I think she has over valued her tv potential.

The amazing thing about tulsi is that it wasn’t that long ago that she was seen as a future star in the party. Didn’t she hold a high up position in the DNC?

She has no future now (except as a Ron Paul esque radio host).

She had a lot of intangibles that made her politically attractive

Female, military service, young, attractive, sharp

Maybe she wanted to, but felt it was rushed and there wasn't enough info...
And the fact that Abuse of Power is actually illegally leveraging a subordinate that works for you...
AND obstruction of Congress isn't actually a thing...
She probably thought the actual charges didn't match whatever crime she thought the jud com was going to submit...

Lots of reasons to vote present, but really, she should've voted no.

Exactly. You are running for the very office that this vote concerned and your opinion was "present?"

GTFO.

Maybe she voted present because since she’s running there is a conflict of interest. She would be influencing an election by casting her vote. This is her way of recusing herself.

High taxes
Banning freedom of religion
Abortion as an unrestricted form of birth control
LGBTPQ2S+ crap

Keep going? The left advances all sorts of issues.

There is a video out now. Her problem is that it wasn’t a fair process.

I can’t stand her politics but respect her willingness to stand up for them.

She protested with the drunk injuns against Dakota Access pipeline. FWIW, this was all about the tribe not responding and it being routed outside of their territory so they received zero right of way royalties.

Additionally, the tribe had already petitioned to have their water intake relocated from downstream of the pipeline crossing to upriver and downstream of the railroad bridge where tank cars were crossing daily, full of oil.

Tulsi is slick but still a leftist moron.

Don't let her calm demeanor fool you. She is still a leftist Democrat. She just isn't a crazy far left extremist, that's why she stands out among the candidates.

It's exactly what she did, IMO. And it's the reasonable thing to do. Any other Democrat that is running for office should probably do the same. And she has all the political cover she should need by simply saying that she didn't think it's appropriate to vote on this because she is running for this very office herself. Instead of just voting no, she is removing herself from it all together.

Smart move. It shows she's serious about her job.
