Bunnie Cannon said something remarkable on OTB this morning.

Not sure of the context... Maybe they asked her what advice she would give to Joe. I believe she may have said she already told Joe and his parents this. Paraphrasing:
Your life will never, ever be the same. You will never again be able to eat a meal in peace, or walk around in public without being bothered. People will forever want something from you. An autograph, a picture, a conversation, etc. Your life as you know it is over.
And you know.... she sounded like her dad got tired of that life, but he accepted it and never would have changed it. I think it took him a long time to embrace and deal with his fame properly, but he definitely enjoyed it at the end.

I hope that’s ur negative spin cause that doesn’t sound very good

Did she say anything about printing money?

It helps that Joe isn't from here. He will be fine.

He didn’t even want to go to LSU. The judge made him. The state gave back to him when he got out of prison by allowing him to be a state employee as a dentist at Angola.

She didn’t say it in a negative way. I listened to the interview. It was phrased in the way of with great honor comes great responsibility. She was prepping Joe and his family so they could be prepared.

Yea, that's not how she said it at all.

She put these thoughts to paper, telling Burrow to take his friends and family with him on this journey. There were also some things she didn't say but she wants him to know. He'll always have to be on now. The luxury of his anonymity is gone. Whether Billy showed up to a pizza joint or a white-tablecloth restaurant, an airport in California or an airport in Montana, when he entered a room, people swarmed. He was always being watched, always seen.
Great article that references it

That last part was my own comment. Made from watching how Billy lived his life (from afar).

Because nobody ever heard of the Heisman Trophy outside of Louisiana?

I’d try to break Chamberlain’s record (unknown number but would try) and make as much money as I could in the process! If that means a few autographs and pictures every day, so be it.

She's right and just being a multi-millionaire NFL starting QB will result in a public lifestyle of banquets, charity events, press conferences, etc. even when not playing football.
Add a Heisman trophy and possibly playing for your hometown (state) team, and it will just be that much more demanding - almost rock-star status.
That's the price of fame and fortune. Seems like Joe will handle it well, but it is just getting started.

One of my friends is close to Matthew McConaughey. I asked him how he responded to becoming famous.
He said, “ In the beginning, when he first got started, we would go to dinner and he would be upset when no one knew him. A few years later, at dinner, he would be upset because everyone knew him.”
I can’t imagine living a life where you are always being watched.

Not a knock, but Burrow will be exponentially more famous than Billy. Different time and place. Hell, Joe is nationally on fire.
ETA: Bunnies life wasn’t all that skewed by some form of celebrity......the parallels some people are trying to force with Burrow are over the top.

I'm thinking prolly not. Billy Cannon was the shite, even through the Pistol Pete phenomenon.

No. Really.
Joe is looking to be the top Heisman winner in history gift wrapped in the national warm fuzzy of people throwing cash to the poor.
Hey. I admire Billy as the next guy, but it’s a different plateau

You're prolly right but I grew up knowing that Cannon was the baddest of any bad-asses. I know Jeaux might be badder but it is ingrained in my generation...

If Eric Crouch was eating at WalkOns, think he'd have a non-stop parade of people asking for his autograph, a picture?
