I think of Vinny Testaverde with the Cowboys in 2004 and Ken Stabler with the Saints in 1984. Who are some others that hung around too long?
Wanna say Testaverde played until he was 45

Tom Brady with every passing game.

Favre.
Should have hung them up 3 years earlier.

Kerry Collins was like the bizarrio washed up QB. Normally older QBs lose arm strength and resort to using their eyes, legs and stored knowledge of the game to compensate.
Collins seemingly did the opposite. I swear his arm got stronger, like old man strength. The Titans trotted that guy out there on some mediocre teams when he was in his late 30s and he gave zero f*cks. But he could somehow throw frozen ropes whenever he felt like it.

Ken Stabler.
When I first started watching football in the 80’s, I wondered why announcers talked about Stabler like he was good. Turns out he was one of the best when I was an infant.

Aaron Freaking Brooks.
Jake Delhomme proved Hasslet wrong. But then again, without Hasslet hitching is wagon to Brooks, NOLA might not have had Brees and Payton.
Funny how those things work out.
And my final answer is Joe Namath, and Ken Stabler.

I remember watching him start like half the season back in 2007 for Carolina. He was so old but still had some game in him.

Brees definitely stayed too long. He started breaking Manning's records and people don't like it.

Kerry Collins with the Titian’s. Maybe Bledsoe with the bills. The Texans qb they got from the falcons. He might still be the backup for Atlanta now
