I wish a Louisiana PTA would adopt the Athen PTA to fundraiser for schools supplies and other needed items.

It would be nice if everyone in Athens County could have a full ham this year on us. Maybe even buy it through a locally owned store to keep the funds in circulation there for a while.

Glad that there aren't any hungry people in Louisiana and we can focus on causes like this.

I see what you’re saying but let it go.
People get ideas ....makes them feel better about themselves ....rinse wash repeat.

Sorta like couple missionary friends I have.
They go to all parts of the world on these trips yet there’s people that live next door to them that need to be witnessed to and hear the gospel.
Yet they go to Africa.

Buzzing along at about $10k per hour. This will be a smashing success. Let’s set this food pantry up for a couple years.

If any of you feel like Wade above, then please consider donating to a local food bank as well. This kind of direct service can actually save lives and provide security for folks who are truly struggling.

A repeating $9 a month would be an excellent contribution

I live in PA. I already donated to my local food pantry this month. So I was happy to contribute to this one as well.

You don't know what people have already done in their own communities. Don't shite on people for being generous to others.

ETA - Wade - Here is a link to the Baton Rouge food pantry donation page. I'm sure you could give a donation in honor of our fighting tigers. Step up or shut up.
