Will Joe break the record for Heisman voting?

I say yes.

He should. Everyone else being considered shite the bed at some point this season. Honestly, anyone that can submit a vote for anyone other than Joe is just showing their bias.

We aren't a media darling like Ohio State is. I think they have 2 or 3 of the biggest landslide votes ever. We aren't going to get that.
Same with USC/OJ

Troy Smith has the more accurate record for Heisman voting
He got 91.63% of possible points
I think Joe beats that
2006 Troy Smith, Ohio State 91.63%
2014 Marcus Mariota, Oregon 90.92%
2017 Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma 86.0%
1998 Ricky Williams, Texas 85.23%
1993 Charlie Ward, FSU 83.79%
2010 Cam Newton, Auburn 81.55%
1968 O.J. Simpson, USC 80.64%

But Joe is.
And the fact that there isn’t even a clear cut number 2 makes me think this could be a record setting result.
LSU played in the top game in the entire nation 5 different times this year. And all 5 of those Burrow played great and had moments where he showed he was the best player on the field.

Joe should get every 1st place vote
However, jackass media members will not vote how they should, and will instead vote other players 1st to try and help get them to NY

He SHOULD be unanimous. But he won’t be. He has been freaking unbelievable this year.
I think he will break the point record though. There’s no one else even a close second this year.

Because the size of the Heisman electorate has varied over the years, a more accurate way to assess the size of a Heisman victory is to calculate the point total as a percentage of possible points available in that year.
Year Player School Points Voters Percentage
2006 Troy Smith, Ohio State 2,540 924 91.63%
2014 Marcus Mariota, Oregon 2,534 929 90.92%
2017 Baker Mayfield, OK 2,398 929 86.0%
1998 Ricky Williams, Texas 2,355 921 85.23%
1993 Charlie Ward, FSU 2,310 919 83.79%
2010 Cam Newton, Auburn 2,263 925 81.55%
1968 O.J. Simpson, USC 2,903 1,200 80.64%
2013 Jameis Winston, FSU 2,205 929 79.12%
2018 Kyler Murray, Oklahoma 2,167 929 78%
1991 Desmond Howard, MI 2,077 917 75.50%
1976 Tony Dorsett, Pitt 2,357 1,048 74.97%
1999 Ron Dayne, Wisconsin 2,042 922 73.83%
2012 Johnny Manziel, Tex A&M 2,029 928 72.88%

He will not. There are a ton of media assholes that will not vote for Joe, just because. This morning Mike Bianchi on Orlando radio said he didn't want to vote for Burrow because everybody was going to vote for him. He eventually said he would put Burrow number 1 on his ballot

Smith had the largest %. Darren McFadden was second. I think that's where a little bit of regional bias comes in. Voters in the south that covered the SEC likely got to watch McFadden more than Smith, so that's why some of them selected McFadden as the best player.
In this case it's almost going to assuredly be Joe, plus 1-2 OSU players and maybe Hurts. In other years you would probably have the midwest voters shwoing a little bias to the OSU players simply because that's who they saw the most of. BUT, with Burrow being an Ohio native and (in some parts of Ohio) being the second only to the OSU players in terms of attention, I think he busts through that bias.

Base on that info, I'll say Joe gets 95% plus.

Their 2 candidates will split their votes

I've heard plenty in the media hyping Chase friggin Young to win the Heisman. They routinely say "most dominant player in college football" when talking about him.
In the last 2 games, which were arguably their 2 biggest games of the year, he has this stat line:
- 0 sacks
- 0 FFs
- 1.5 TFL
- 6 total tackles
Against Michigan, he was completely goose egged.

I would agree, but his reasoning in the end is the reason I think he will break the record. People will try to talk themselves out of it, but in the end, they will realize there is no one else they can put at No. 1.
Also, the only region that he could get dinked would be Ohio, but being an Ohio native, I think in the end he gets those votes too.

No because a lot of the voters are people like OJ Simpson, for example, who don't have a damn clue and will just vote for West Coast kids because they're from that area. My point being that some of the morons voting will just vote geographically.

frick him. When asked who deserved to be in New York, he said JK Dobbins, Justin Fields, and himself. Said he should win it because he's doing things people have never done before, and offensive players are setting records routinely.
GTFO with that.
