Taking a moment to appreciate the fact we’re about to see LSUs second Heisman

Let that sink in. All the history and great players to come through this program and this is going to be just our second Heisman winner. That’s just insane to me and awesome at the same time.
To you Joe

And 60 years apart.
Hope it doesn’t take another 60!
Geaux Tigahs!

I agree this is special. God bless Burrow.
LSU also surpassed an undefeated perennial powerhouse program for #1. If you are not happy right now I don’t know what to say.

It is amazing. Our first Heisman winning QB no less.

I cannot wait for the ceremony next weekend. Going to be amazing. Especially since we already know the outcome.

Enjoy the next month. Never know when a season like this will occur again. Been a fan over 40 years and I've enjoyed this one the most.

Full disclosure I definitely enjoyed the 2010 regular season more but hoping this one ends better obviously

People say these awards aren’t the goal. True. But they absolutely matter. You know damn sure any recruit who visits Oklahoma, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and USC is given a tour of their halls of heisman trophies.

Dang, I've been around for both.
Yeah, i'm an old timer.

To be honest, I thought Tyrann Mathieu was as close as we would ever get. Never really thought I would see a Heisman winner at LSU, despite all the talent that comes through.

The same week Joe Burrow announced he was coming to LSU in May 2018 , Our heisman winner Dr. Billy Cannon passed away (May 20th)
The “Heisman Handoff” occurred

His performance is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Totally didn’t see it coming either which makes it even more amazing.

This year is full of weird circumstances. All 3 of our adversaries in the CFP are the teams we’ve beaten for our 3 titles. All played in NOLA. And now our sole Heisman winner passes away the same time our future Heisman winner announces his transfer to LSU? I’m not really superstitious, but someone is sacrificing chickens on Bourbon St.

It doesn’t feel real and yet here we are

Yes, it is incredible to think it has been 60 years since the great Billy Cannon won LSU's first and only Heisman until this season.
Probably most of the posters on the Rant were not even living when Billy won it.
