Carter saw a guy who wasn’t going to be blocked by anyone. He had no way of knowing it was going to be a touchback. He was focused on that player (as he should be) and not what our return man was doing.

I didn’t realize that number 14 and several others were blocking as well. The replay also shows that Carter never once looked to see that it was a touchback.
