Not really. look at #34 and the uga player

They are still going at each other, and 44 for UGA is chop stepping looking like he is ready to make a break

Watch the full screen in real time, not a small clip.

Man it is amazing how many people think that hit wasn't dirty.

You're either a true trashy piece of shite or so biased for LSU that you can't see it, but it's astonishing how many people are defending that hit.

When i saw it i just assumed, or hoped, the UGA guy must of done something to Carter on a previous kick off to piss him off and Carter was getting back at him, which he did so in a dirty and dangerous way.
Regardless, there's no room for plays like that in football. I don't care if it's 1980 or 2019, it was a cheap dirty hit.

It is comical to think some of you think he doesn't deserve a suspension for it.
I hope Coach O gave him an arse reaming once he got to see the replay and talk to him after.

Yes I would say the same if the same hit was from a UGA player to an LSU player. It was as much the UGA players fault as LSU's.

I was at the A&M game and didnt see it and also they didnt show it on TV that I've seen, but didnt an A&M player do the same thing to a LSU player on the opening kickoff? Always wondered why it wasnt reviewed.

Probably should have been reviewed.

You “believe in the original rules of football?” WTH? The current rules are the only ones that matter.

Eliminating legitimate tackles, blocks, or even kick offs will only be the beginning because people like you and other snowflakes will always find "the next thing" to claim is too hazardous. If the game is too rough for you then don't play it.
this has nothing to do with me playing the game - I'm 55 years old.

And if I'm a snowflake, I guess the NFL and NCAA are too, because they put the targeting rule in place.

Your baseball analogy is silly - arm injuries =/= brain injuries.

And I also fail to see how my post applies to participation trophies.

You're lashing out at me for merely pointing out the obvious - that traumatic brain injuries are a problem in the game of football.

SO have any of you dumbasses watched the full screen of this hit, or just the slow mo 4 second version?

LINK

Carter basically comes from the left hash sprinting all the way to the right hash to lay this dude out. The UGA guy had no idea he was about to get hit until the last second.

Even if Carter had not led with the head, and stuck his crown right into the UGA guys jaw, it still would have been a dirty hit. he literrally targets the guy, across the field, and knocks the shite out of him on a play where everyone is letting up b/c it's ending in a touchback. I completely understand the "this is football" and "head on a swivel" and "play til the whistle", and i love big hits, but what Carter did was pretty shitty.

I am someone who thinks the blindside block on punts and interceptions and what not being outlawed is a travesty, so your snowflake and pussy comments are pointless.

If Carter had done this on every kickoff return, and UGA knew he was a guy that would do something like that every kickoff, then ok, no big deal, even though it was still a textbook targeting hit that would get penalized, but something tells me Carter doesn't go after someone like that on every kickoff return.

Wasn’t CLOSE to a blind side. And honestly it could have been way worse. I didn’t think it was that dirty at all. The only thing dirty about it is that it’s almost an unspoken rule to let up on kickoff touchbacks.
Clicked on your video, he led with the helmet, complete unnecessary and trash move. Call it football, but realize football is trashy sometimes because of shite like this. That's not gamesmanship of trying to block someone from tackling your guy, that's trying to hurt someone.

I'm not gonna say he straight up planned it, but on his twitter Sat morning he said something to the effect of " Woke up pissed off" That dude runs hot. I wouldn't say it was dirty, but I would say that he plans on laying the wood on every play and that notion might trump keeping it clean. Just my 2 cents...

Of course it was planned. The guy can’t get into real action. This is how he stays relevant. Dude evidently needs to wear face paint to block on kickoffs 4x a game
